Azubuike, Adana Demirspor and Giresunspor, and Yeni Malatyaspor to join Sivasspor

Turkish Super Lig club Sivasspor confirmed on Saturday that they have reached an agreement with Istanbul Basaksehir FK for the season-long loan of Azubuike Okechukwu.
The Super Eagles star, who came to Sivas yesterday, signed the contract binding him to Sivasspor at the signing ceremony attended by the club’s Deputy Chairman Erdal Sarilar.
The defensive midfielder rejected offers from three Turkish Super Lig clubs in favour of a move to Sivasspor.
Super Lig newcomers Adana Demirspor and Giresunspor, and Yeni Malatyaspor were in the mix to sign Okechukwu but he opted to join Sivasspor.
It is believed that Okechukwu turned down these three clubs in pursuit of playing in the Europa Conference League with Sivasspor who also have in their ranks Olarenwaju Kayode and Leke James.
Okechukwu has appeared in ten matches in European competitions, consisting of eight in the Europa League proper and two in the Champions League qualifiers, with all the matches played in the colours of Istanbul Basaksehir FK.
