Kwara FA partners Peter Rufai on football devt

 

The Kwara State Football Association on Thursday has said it will partner former Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai towards advancing the growth of round leather game in the state.
The FA chairman Idris Abdullahi Musa, stated this during a courtesy visit paid by Peter Rufai and his entourage to the Kwara state Ministry of Sports and Youth development.
Musa while Speaking, appreciated Rufai for seeing Kwara as the perfect place to drive the mechanism of football development and assured Rufai of the state resolve to invest heavily in the future of their youths through football engagement.
The FA boss pledged to provide an enabling environment for the proposed football tournament tagged “Dodomayana Soccerthon Cup”.
In his own view, Peter Rufai said he came for the courtesy visit to inform Kwarans of his designated project aimed at discovering and nurturing talented young footballers from the grassroots to the zenith of Professional football.
He added that this platform will also serve as an opportunity to give back to Nigeria, what he has benefitted from the nation and revealed Kwara’s impact in sports development motivated him towards picking the state as the venue for his project.
He also singled out the support of the Kwara State Football Association chairman, Abdullahi Musa-Thuraya, for his warmth, and supports since he came in to Kwara which he described as the reasons behind his passion to raise the standard of football.
The FA Boss later accompanied Peter Rufai to visits other major stakeholders in the state including the Deputy Governor, Hon. Kayode Alabi and the Nigeria pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike.
