Breaking: Buhari Sacks Nanono, Mamman
President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked two ministers from his cabinet it emerged on Wednesday.
They are the Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Nanono and the Minister of state for power, Saleh Mamman. They are the first two ministers to be sacked since Buhari was inaugurated as president in 2015.
There were indications that the president who has vowed not to leave office as a failure would continue to shake up his cabinet in the days ahead.
Following the sack of the two ministers, it was announced that the Minister of Environment, Mohammed Mahmoud Abubakar would take over the Agriculture portfolio, while Abubakar Aliu, Minister of State for Works, would take over from Mamman Sale as the Minister of Power.
President Buhari announced the minor reshufflement during the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting.
