Various reports have said Junior Ajayi is close to joining another Egyptian club Pharco after more than five years at African champions Al Ahly.
The 25-year-old striker has not enjoyed regular game time under South African coach Pitso Mosimane.
Former Nigeria U23 international Ajayi joined the Cairo Red Devils from CS Sfaxien of Tunisia.
Pharco have been promoted to the Egyptian top league for this season after topping the lower league and have thereafter embarked on some marque signings recently.
They are based in the port city of Alexandria.
