Terem Moffi has again proved that he is the man for the big occasion after he produced a Man-of-the-Match display to sink champions Lille.
Last season, then champions PSG, Monaco, Olympique Marseille and Bordeaux all fell to his goals.
On Friday night, he scored the winning goal and provided an assist for FC Lorient to stun Ligue 1 champions Lille 2-1.
He was scored 8.2, the highest by a player on the winning side.
Moffi has now scored two goals and made two assists in the new season after he netted 15 goals and provided three assists last season.
He gave his team a sumptuous assist as early as the seventh minute for Lorient opening goal.
Moffi took from a few metres into the opposing half of the pitch as he dribbled and battled his way into the box before he laid the pass for Lauriente to fire home from 10 metres.
He then wrapped up the tie three minutes from time with the winning goal.
Lorient, who battled relegation last season, are now fourth on the table with eight points from five matches.
