KWACCIMA inaugurates new exco

...slates Trade Fair for Nov

The Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, KWACCIMA, has inaugurated a new executive to pilot the affairs of the body for the next couple of years.

Speaking at the chambers investiture ceremony in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, the tenth President and Chairman, Council of KWACCIMA, Alhaji Olalekan Fatai Ayodimeji, asked the Kwara state government to reciprocate the chamber’s readiness for partnership on major policy issues affecting businesses in the state

While thanking Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for making a landed space at Ogbondoroko available for an industrial park, the body sought for urgency in developing the area.

It also asked for a permanent trade fair site as they prepare to commence the eighth edition of the National Trade fair on 18th November

While sharing details of his agenda, Ayodimeji promised to rebrand the Secretariat, organize 8th Kwara Trade Fair, attract investors to the state and step up collaboration with the state government as well as other stakeholders

He said the current KWACCIMA executive will anchor their programmes and policies on 3Cs philosophy; Connect, Capacitate and Champion.

His words:”To connect : by making meaniful network between members both within and outside the state.

To Capacitate- by strengthening skills, abilities and processes necessary for organisations to adopt in order to thrive in a rapidly changing world and to champion – by taking up members’ issues so as to foster and encourage a healthy business environment.”

Dignitaries who graced the occasion include the deputy governor, Mr Kayode Alabi, top government officials, traditional rulers, and business tycoons.

Highlight of the event includes the handing over of the baton by the immediate past Chairman, Dr Ahmed Raji Adeoye, unveiling of new KWACCIMA logo, launching of a quarterly magazine and induction of new members.
