Nat’l Pilot MD, Adedamola pledges support for SWAN Media Game
...says sports breed unity

Sport has been described as a unifying agent that can Forster unity among journalists and the whole country at large.
This was contained in an address by Alhaji Billy Adedamola, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of National Pilot newspaper, while welcoming members of Sport writers association of Nigeria, SWAN to the medium corporate office on Saturday.
The committee members of SWAN media games was led by the Kwara state SWAN chairman, Jimoh Bashir.
Bashir in his remark disclosed the essence of the auspicious visit to the National Pilot, which is to officially invite the participation of the medium in the upcoming SWAN media games which is slated to hold between 6th and 9th of October in Ilorin.
He also expressed his gratitude to the staff of National Pilot for the warm welcome of the committee members and their cooperations over the years.
Jimoh also explained that, “The opening day of the games will be about health talk on importance of exercise and stress management.
“Game is meant bring all the media houses together and strengthen the unity among the chapels of the NUJ.
“This will be a much needed break from the stressful work regime related to the journalistic profession” he noted.
Alhaji Adedamola in his address, assures the committee members of National Pilot readiness to fully participate in the games and also pledge to contribute his quota wherever it is necessary.
The veteran journalist alluded in the popular parlance that, ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’.
He also harped on the commitment of the medium to participate in the games and him being a sport minded person.
Adedamola however thanked the SWAN members for the visit wishing them the best of luck in organising the forthcoming games.
