Talents discovery ‘ll boost economic devt- KWSG

The Kwara State Government has emphasised the need for talent discovery especially in sport activities.
The Kwara State Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, Wasiu Odewale stated this in an interview with newsmen during an opening match between Moloko and Amodu organised by TK Hassler at Sulu Community Grammar School on Saturday.
“Talents discovered will go a long way in economic development. Employment alone cannot do it, the state Governor Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed is committed to economic development in the state. When people are engaged, you won’t be seeing cultism and all sorts of crime in the state”
The Chairman of TK Hassler Nigeria Limited, Taofeeq Raheem who doubles as the initiator of the competition disclosed that it is an annual event targeted at fostering unity among the community and to also detect talents in football. He disclosed that not less than N2million is expended annually to put up the tourney involving 10 communities.
According to him, some players discovered that have been promoted outside the country where they are playing for clubs.
Although the match ended 2-2, the Moloko team however came top with a penalty kick after 35 minutes of the second half.
Other teams that participated in the competition are Eleyele, Fajeromi, Oke-Ode, Koko, Omupo, Igberi, Sulu and Obaloyan in 5 Groups
The competition which has been scheduled is to finalise today (Monday) will feature the presentation of cash price and cups to winners. The first position is to be given the sum of 50,000 naira and a complete jersey, the 2nd position- 30,000 naira and a complete Jersey and the 3 position 20,000 naira with 2 football.
For the opening march, the Goal scorers are: Samuel kolawole, Idris Olamilekan from Amodu team while for Moloko team, Saheed Salam, Wasiu sulaiman scored the goals during the march while the goal keeper Ibrahim salau saved the ball that lead to the wining.
