Alhassan Yusuf on Super Eagles radar as he undergoes another scan

It has specially been gathered that Alhassan Yusuf will now be closely monitored by the Super Eagles just as the Antwerp midfielder will have another scan to determine how well he has recovered from a groin injury which has sidelined him for a month. It was gathered that the playerโs outstanding contributions have not gone unnoticed at the NFF technical department, which has since made a case for the player with Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr.
The former IFK Goteborg star has yet to be capped by Nigeria at any level.
He came close to featuring for coach Paul Aigbogun-led Flying Eagles at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland, but his then Swedish club blocked his call-up.
In the meantime, the player himself said his rehabilitation is going to plan.
“I will have another scan to see how the muscle has evolved,โ he said.
“Otherwise, my rehab is going well even though I donโt know when I will be back on the pitch.โ
He last played in the Belgian league on August 29 in a 2-2 draw with OH Leuven.
