Leicester City forward Ademola Lookman has moved a step closer to joining the Super Eagles after he acquired a Nigerian passport.
FIFA approval to Lookmanโs application to change international allegiance from England to Nigeria is now what is missing before he could hope to make his Super Eagles debut.
Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has already included the player on a provisional 40-man squad for the delayed 2021 AFCON in Cameroon in January.
Tricky 24-year-old winger Lookman won the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup with England.
He is currently on loan at Leicester City from German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
