Scores of All Progressive Congress,APC youth from Ilorin South local government area of Kwara state have reiterated their support for the former President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki,who is also the National Leader of the PDP.
The youths emphasized that they will refuse to be part of any plot or scheme from any quarters in the state, targeted at bringing Bukola Saraki down or the name of Saraki to disrepute.
This was noted recently at an event organized for welcoming the multitude of decamping APC members ,who are discarding the party to join the People Democratic Party,PDP.
The group noted that the obvious witch-hunt and plot against Saraki, which they noted to be insincerity on the part of the APC as one of the things that informed their decision.
In their words, “We’re wiser now, we won’t be part of the plot to bring Saraki down, the government is not being sincere” the youths noted.
The massive number of youths, formerly of APC dumped the party for the leading opposition party in the country, People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ilorin South local government area of Kwara state.
The Youths also lamented the dire state of the country, saying that the administration of President Buhari and The All Progressives Congress, APC has brought nothing but untold hardship and hunger upon the people of this nation.
As the multitude can be heard singing different songs, airing their frustration at the government of the The All Progressives Congress,with lyrics like, “Buhari ébí,Buhari ìyà” meaning, Buhari hunger, Buhari suffering.
The new defectors cited the failure of the All progressives Congress government, headed by president Buhari and in Kwara state, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, to better the lots of the people, to reward the trust deposited in them at the 2019 polls.
The irate youth also expressed their disappointment in the APC party, as they can be seen severing their APC membership souvenirs, such as brooms and clothes with APC insignia on them.
They however maintained that the desire for a better governance and economic progress of the state as the reason for making their moves and not for individual gain.
It is recalled that he last month,No fewer than 700 members of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the African Democratic Congress across wards in the Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The defection which seems to be on a trend, as recently in other part of the country, about fifteen All Progressives Congress (APC) members defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside their supporters in Gombe State.
Former Deputy Governor of the state , John Yoriyo, who defected to PDP, expressed his disappointment stating that he wasn’t impressed with the happenings in the APC.
