In my few years of practice, having already had my fair share of experience in the court, the most memorable and dramatic moment I had was when I was given a file by a senior colleague at the office and I was told the case is for further mention.
On getting to court and the case was slated for hearing to my bewilderment ,the Judge insisted that the matter must go on, it was out of the blue to say the least.
Being a Junior and a new wig then, I was confused and I made several pleading with My Lord to grant me an adjournment but all my pleas were turned down.
As a very smart and innovative person, a ‘sharp guy’, I started sweating in court and I started rolling my eyes as if I was about to faint. Immediately the judge noticed me, the Judge had to adjourn the case and smiled, that scene played out at Osogbo, State of Osun.
