KWSG denies moving property out of Govt House

The Kwara State Government has debunked the allegation that Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed or anyone in government moved out state-owned property from the Government House in Ilorin, the state capital.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Dr. Muideen Akorede, yesterday.
Recall that there was an earlier report on social media platforms that government property was evacuated from the Government House with trucks to undisclosed destination.
Refuting the allegation, Akorede in the statement said the trucks conveyed Ramadan package donated by Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
The statement reads: “It’s completely untrue that Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed or any other person in Government House, Ilorin was moving furniture or any other government property out of Government House.
“What is being erroneously circulated are images of a truck load of Charity (Zakat) items provided by Alhaji Aliko Dangote through his foundation which were being taken out for distribution to people in keeping with the annual practice.
“Clearly, those were not government property. For the record, all government property inside Government House are bar-coded and contained in an inventory which will be handed over to the incoming government.”
