Man, Chemist in hot water over pregnancy termination

Police have arraigned two accused men before an Ilorin Magistrate Court on Thursday, October 21,for alleged termination of Pregnancy of a woman impregnated by one of the suspects.
The Duo of 25 years old Abdullateef Ibrahim ,a barber and Ogundele Adeyinka, a 29 years old patent medicine store operator, were charged to before Magistrate Abayomi Muyiwa.
According to the First information report obtained by National Pilot, the suspects were charged in a two count offence of Criminal conspiracy and causing miscarriage which is contrary to section 97 and 232 of penal code law.
The case was reported on 18th of this month by one Mrs Victoria Okoduwa from the Office of the chairperson of International federation of female lawyer.
The charge sheet has it that, Abdullateef Ibrahim of Kuntu area impregnated Issa Ganiyat Opeyemi of Offa Garage Area and took her to a patent medicine store at Isale Aluko Area owned by Ogundele Adeyinka for abortion.
The suspect, Ibrahim In the course of investigation conducted by Anti Human trafficking women and children protection unit,confesses to impregnating Issa Ganiyat.
He was said to have introduced him to the second defendant, Adeyinka ,who administered drugs and injection to her which resulted in the pregnancy termination.
Magistrate Abayomi O. Muyiwa in his ruling ordered that the suspects are remanded in the correctional facility till 4th of November for further mention.
