N/Pilot, Correspondent win Suleiman Ba’aziki/Kwara NUJ  T/Tennis tourney

 

Aminat Babatunde of National Pilot Newspaper Chapel has emerged the champions of Suleiman Ba’aziki/Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Table Tennis Competition, female category.

Akeem Garuba of the Correspondent Chapel won the female category of the pin pone game.

At a ceremony held at the NUJ Press Centre, Akeem Garuba defeated Yakub Bolakale of the Nigerian Television Authority Chapel, while Ayinla Kolapo of the National Orientation Agency Chapel and Adebayo Olodan, the News editor of National Pilot Newspaper won the bronze Medals.

Other participants in the Male Category include, Mahmood Olayinka Alaya of Radio Kwara Chapel, Abubakar Owolabi of State Information, Babatunde Jimba of Kwara State Television, Ahmed Abubakar of the Federal Information Chapel and Tayo Ayanda of the Herald Chapel.

Other winners in the female category are Itunu Olaosebikan of Radio Kwara Chapel, Silver Medal, Nusirat  Popoola of the Kwara Television Chapel and Ayobami Mosunmola of the Correspondent Chapel who both won bronze medals.

Speaking after the Competition, the Chairman of 2018 Press Week, Mallam Sulaiman Aremu, commended the spirit of sportsmanship demonstrated by all the participants and lauded the winners for emerging victorious.

Mallam Suleiman Aremu noted that all participants would be awarded during the Award Ceremony of this year’s Press Week will hold on next week Tuesday at the NUJ Press centre beginning at five O’clock in the evening.
