Bolaji Abdullahi commiserates with PDP stalwart, Ebun Owolabi over mother’s death

*Condoles Omu-Aran community on the passage of veteran journalist, Chief Jide Adebayo

Former Minister of youth and sports development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has commiserated with a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a member of the Board of Trustees of the party, Hon. Felicia Ebun Owolabi over the death of her mother, Chief (Mrs) Comfort Ajireba Abolarin.
Abdullahi, who expressed  his grief over the sad occurrence, described the late Mrs Abolarin as a role model for outstanding mothers who saw to the success of her children.
“Losing a mother signifies the closure of an important chapter in one’s life. The pain is often difficult to bear when the mother in this regard, is an outstanding personality like Mrs. Abolarin. It is on this basis that I sympathize with my sister, Hon. Ebun Owolabi on this huge and irreplaceable loss,”  Abdullahi said.
He prayed God to repose the soul of Chief Mrs Abolarin and comfort the family and loved ones.
In the same vein, the former Minister has also extended his condolences to the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti and the entire Omu-Aran community over the death of prominent Chief and veteran journalist, Chief Jide Adebayo.
Abdullahi, who recalled the outstanding achievements of the late Adebayo as a consumate journalist of international repute, said the void left by the departed community leader would be difficult to fill.
He said, “Chief Adebayo belongs in a class of the finest as far as journalism is concerned. But beyond his success as an outstanding journalist was the impact he made as great community leader and peace maker.
“Having served as a former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), former Commissioner for information, Youth, Sports and Culture in Kwara and held the highest traditional title as the Eesa of Omu-Aran; effectively the second-in-command to Olomu, Chief Adebayo has left an indelible legacy that will continue to serve as a compass to  those of us who looked up to him as a mentor.”
Abdullahi prayed to God to receive the soul of Chief Adebayo with mercy and to grant his family and loved ones; the Olomu and all sons and daughters of Omu-Aran the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
