The Kwara State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has described the death of Hon. Fatai El-Imam as sad and painful.
Hon. El-Imam who was a strong party elder in Ifelodun local government reportedly died yesterday evening.
He was a former member, Kwara State House of Assembly between 1992-1993 under the SDP.
The party commiserated with his immediate family and the entire PDP family in Ifelodun local government and the State in general.
In a statement by its State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Tunde Muhammed, the party said it received the news of Hon. El-Imam’s death with great shock and prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanat Firdaus.
The statement reads in part: “The Kwara PDP sends heartfelt condolences to the immediate family and the entire PDP family in Ifelodun LGA, on the transition of a great party man, Hon. Fatai El-Imam. We received the news of his death with great shock and sadness.
“Hon. El-Imam was a responsible and kind-hearted person. He was a committed and loyal party man, who had good intention in serving his people at all times. He will be remembered for his love for his community and State. We pray Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grants him Aljanat Firdaus, Ameen.
“We also pray Allah to comfort his wife, children, family members and friends and grant everyone the strength to bear this huge loss.”
