Salah nominated for 2021 Best FIFA player award

Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian forward, has been nominated for the 2021 Best FIFA Men’s Player Award.
The award recognises a footballer’s achievement during the period from October 2020 to August 2021.
Salah is making the 11-man shortlist for the second time in his career.
To win the award, the Liverpool forward has to contend with Karim Benzema, Kevin de Bruyne, Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland, Jorginho, N’Golo Kanté, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
In a statement on Monday, the world football governing body said the winner will be revealed at a ceremony in Zurich on January 17.
In the coach category, Antonio Conte leads the pack against Pep Guardiola, Hans Flick, Roberto Mancini, Diego Simeone, Thomas Tuchel and Lionel Sebastián Scaloni.
The public voting process will commence on November 22 and end on December 10, 2021.
