The full financial details of goalkeeper Maduka Okoye’s sensational transfer to Premier League club Watford have been laid bare.
The Super Eagles No 1 goalkeeper cost Watford five million Euros, according to public broadcaster RTV Rijnmod.
Initial reports had put the transfer fee at seven Million Euros.
Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam will receive an additional 250,000 Euros when Okoye has played 40 official games and another 250,000 Euros should he make 70 matches.
Okoye has signed a contract of five and half years with Watford effective January 1, 2022, but will play on loan till the end of the season at his Dutch club.
This transfer makes him Nigeria’s most expensive goalkeeper ever.
