House of Reps Aspirant mourns Soun of Ogbomoso

Hon. Simeon Funminiyi Adewale, popularly known as Arole Adewusi, seeking to cling House of Representatives ticket under All Progressives Congress (APC ) to represent Ogo-oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Oyo State has mourn the death of the 20th Soun of Ogbomoso land, Alaiyeluwa, Oba (Dr.) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III CON, CFR.

The Soun of Ogbomosoland passed away on Sunday at age of 95 years.

The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by Hon. Adewale on Sunday.

The late Monarch was born on May 27, 1926 to the Gbagun ruling house of Royal family of Soun of Ogbomosoland.

He was the 20th and longest reigned Soun of Ogbomosoland in the history of Ogbomoso, who reigned for 48years until his demise.

He was survived by wives, children,  grand-children, great grand-children.

Hon. Adewale also commiserated with prominent sons of the town, the Mayegun of Ogbomoso, Alhaji (Senator) Hamzat Ayoade Adeseun; the Agbaakin of Ogbomoso and Honourable Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Chief Sunday Dare and the APC Party Chairman in Oyo State, Pa Akin Oke, among other notable indigenes of the ancient town over the demise of the highly respected royal father.

Oba Oyewumi was a statesman, genuine leader and outstanding monarch, with passion for growth and development of Ogbomoso, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.

Hon Adewale prayed for the repose of the late King’s soul and wish the sons and daughters of Ogbomoso land the very best in their future endeavours.
