Ilorin Rotary Club elects Yinka Okoh President nominee

The Ilorin chapter of the international Non governmental organization and humanitarian group, Rotary club has elected Rtn. Yinka Okoh it’s President nominee. Okoh came out tops at the election which took place in Ilorin on Wednesday last week winning with 36 to 10 votes.
In his reaction, the newly elected president nominee expressed his delight and appreciation to members of the club for depositing their trust him to lead the club for the coming years.
Said he, “No word can expressly and sufficiently capture my heartfelt joy and fulfilment in you for the show of love and the conducts you expressed towards me at the just concluded historic elections of our dear club.
“Ushering me into the comity of President’s across the globe, with the opportunity to steer the affairs of our dear club as the 20th President in the year 2023/2024 Rotary Year. It is a great and appropriated gesture to me.”
Rtn. Okoh also praised the members both at home and in the diaspora for their large turn out to participate in the electoral process which he described as “clear manifestation of the trust and confidence you all have in me, more importantly, the love of our dear club,” he stated.
He expressed his appreciation to the electoral committee members for their fair conduct which brought about a free and credible election.
Okoh also appreciates his fellow contender for a quick display of sportsmanship by congratulating him immediately after the declarations, pledging not to betray the trust given to him by the members.
According to the Rotary International, the group’s main objective is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
