Verification: N-Power gives 48hrs ultimatum to beneficiaries

The N-Power office in Kwara State has extended the verification exercise of the pre-selected volunteer applicants by 48 hours, National Pilot can report.
This much was disclosed in a press release signed by the Special Adviser to the executive governor of Kwara State on Youth Empowerment Alhaji Saka Babatunde in Ilorin on Wednesday.
He added that the exercise which was supposed to close on Wednesday December 27th has now been extended to Friday, December 29 2017, stressing that a total of 911 pre-selected applicants have so far not turned up for physical verification.
It would be recalled the pre-selection verification exercise was held at the sixteen local government areas of the State, has now been taken to the Ilorin office of National Orientation Agency (NOA).
He said “Out of the 9374 pre-selected applicants in Kwara State, 8335 have so far been verified, leaving 911 pre-selected applicants not yet verified.
“The essence of the verification exercise is aimed at verifying the authenticity of the submitted credentials during registration.
“They are expected to appear at the National Orientation Agency’s Office along Fate road Ilorin, with original and photocopies of all submitted credentials, valid Identification card, file jacket, tag, NYSC certificate or discharge and also residential address” he stressed.
But explaining further on the issue last might Babatunde said those yet to be verified have not shown up even after two separate SMS message to them.
He said “Those numbers affected have not shown up and we have sent a second SMS to them regarding the issue.
โThat is the reason for the ultimatum and if they still refused to come forward, we’ll have no choice than to drop them”, he noted.
