Muslims enjoins to attach importance to prayers

Muslims have been advised to make fear of God their watchword and attach importance to the five daily prayers by observing it regularly at the stipulated time.
Sheikh Ibrahim Gbodofu Hasbunallah who made the call in Ogele in the Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, at the 24th Maolud Nabbiy of the Jammaat Nuru-l-Faedoh Cisse, reiterated the importance of prayer.
He explained that the difference between Muslims and Non-Muslims is the prayer, adding that the first thing to be asked in the day of judgement is prayer.
The reknown scholar who expressed concern over the negligence attach to the five daily prayers by some individuals, pointed out that the prayer formed part of faith in Islam.
He also admonished Muslim faithful to be good ambassadors of their religion by shunning attitude capable of tarnishing its image at all times.
Sheikh Gbodofu who extolled the virtues of Prophet Muhammad, described him as an embodiment of humility and fear of God, and enjoined Muslims to emulate him in all their dealings.
The Muslim scholar who decried the rate of sufferings in the society, called on the government at all levels to devise means of alleviating the masses sufferings through empowerment programmes among others.
He also stressed the need for well-to-do individuals to complement government by assisting the needy, emphasising that government alone could not shoulder the responsibility.
Also in his remarks, Sheikh Abubakar Cisse, urged Muslims to be steadfast, committed and rededicated themselves to the worship of God.
Sheikh Cisse observed that the situation in the country presently deserves divine intervention and called for fervent prayers from all and sundry to savage the country from its verge of collapse.


In his welcome address, the founder of the Islamic Organisation, Mukadam Muritado Yusuf Cisse Ogele, expressed gratitude to everyone for gracing the occasion and tasked Muslims to imbibe the lessons of the celebration.
He also encouraged the muslims to shun vices and embrace virtues and equally make the glorious Qur’an their guiding principles in their day-to-day activities.
Highlight of the event include; recitation from the Qur’an, Modiu Nabbiy and special prayers on the insecurity across the country among other activities.
