In this chat with JIMOH SULYMAN, Olorunnisola recall his most memorable moment in the court of law. Excerpt.
I have had quite a few moments that I can’t forget but the one that has stayed unforgettable was my first time facing a judge all by myself, that was before Honourable justice Bamgbola at Omu Aran, I remembered that I was prepared to appear in court on that day ,I just wanted to follow the seniors to the court, as junior lawyers what we’re expected to do is to take the Court proceeding.
And one thing about the learned senior (my father) is that, he always asked us if we have read the case file and we always say yes, but the truth is that we haven’t read it.
So on that day, we arrived at the Court, the case was called, so all of a sudden, the learned Senior advocate sought the permission of the court to allow his junior colleague to handle the matter.
He just turned back, he carried case file and dump it in front of me and went back to sit down and he didn’t even look back, it was so shocking for me because no one was expecting such a thing to happen.
The Honourable judge called me to address the court, but fortunately for me I was able to go through with it because I had gone through the case file but it was still a shocker.
