The Omu Aran community in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara has inaugurated a 30-man committee to oversee a befitting installation for its newly approved monarch, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti.

The 30-man coronation committee is headed by former Military Administrator of Bauchi and Osun states, Col. Theophilus Bamgboye (Retd) and has Jide Oyinloye as Secretary.

Adeoti with his entourage, had on Saturday arrived the community from Ilorin, to commence the seven-day traditional seclusion prior to his installation scheduled for September 22, 2018.

The development followed his recent approval and letter of appointment from the state government after his nomination for the vacant stool by the kingmakers.

Adeoti’s emergence is coming nine months after the immediate past Olomu, Oba Charles Oladele Ibitoye, joined his ancestors on November 30, 2017, after a brief illness.

โ€œThis committee has been put in place to give the community an auspicious and memorable coronation to depict maximum love and respect as our tradition,โ€ the Chairman added.

Responding, Bamgboye, thanked the community leaders for the opportunity given to the committee members in contributing their quota to the upcoming historical event.
