Ilorin airport’s filling station commences operation

In a bid to strengthen operational services, the fuel station at the Ilorin International Airport has commenced operation.
The filling station, whichย was long abandoned and recently renovated byย Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulla-Azeez has commenced operation.
The station is expected to serve all the operational vehicles at the airport, the power House, Nigeria Airspace Management Agency’s (NAMA) facilities among others.
Speaking to Pilot Aviation at the weekend, the Head of Corporate Affairs Department, Mr Adeyeoluwa Oluwakayode acknowledged the effort of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) headquartersย at ensuring that this project see the light of day.
He explained that the filling station will serve operational vehicles at the airport aimed at strengthening operational activities for better service delivery.
The Head of Corporate Affairs stressed that the challenges of going to purchase fuel outside the airport to run the power house is now a thing of the past.
According to him, the airport management is doing everything possible to ensure conducive atmosphere for passengers, staff and the immediate Ilorin community.
He, therefore, called for the cooperation of the public towards lifting the airport to greater height with effective safety and security network that will be beneficial to all stakeholders.
