The final funeral service and burial for Deacon Simon Olabisi Joel (JP), will take place on Friday, 28th October, 2022.
According to a statement made available to National Pilot by one of the children of the deceased, Mr. Leke Joel, on behalf of the family stated that the funeral processions will kick start with Night of Tributes and Testimony coming up on Thursday 27th October, 2022 at Emmanuel Baptist Church Sabo-Oke, Ilorin by 4pm.
On Friday 28th October, 2022 Lying in State will take place at No. 14 Mayowa Street, Fate, Ilorin by 7am.
This is to be followed by Commendation and Celebration Service at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Sabo- Oke Ilorin by 7:30am.
The above will be followed by farewell and Thanksgiving Service to be held at First Baptist Church, Erin-Ile by 11:00am.
The funeral will be concluded with a reception party coming up after the Church Service at Erin-Ile Secondary School field.
It will be recalled that Deacon Joel, who died on August 13, 2022, is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren, among them is Mr. Leke Joel, husband to Chief Press Secretary to Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Dupe Joel.
