The Elesinmeta community of Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State has described Pa Elder Philip Aweda Ogunsola as courageous and community leader following his recent passing.
Late Ogunsola of Isale Ago compound, Elesinmeta, who died at the age of 92 on March 1st, 2019 was buried on Monday.
Speaking during the burial service, the cleric in charge of ECWA Church, Elesinmeta, Rev. Ezekiel Sunday Awojobi described death as an inevitable stage of life which all mortals irrespective of status and influence will experience.
He admonished the people to be conscious of life by showing good attitude and Christian virtues that will lead them to eternal glory.
“Whatsoever you do in life should always reflect God’s commands and virtues to mankind because nothing is permanent in this world. All of us must die whether we like it or not but our good deeds will always count for us when we die.”
Rev Awojobi described the late Ogunsola as a man who played vital roles in building the church in the community.
In his remarks, the Baale of Elesinmeta, Chief Solomon Ishola described the death of Baba Ogunsola as a monumental loss to the church and the community at large.
He said, “I felt a sense of personal loss because the vacuum created by his demise would be difficult to fill.
Chief Ishola called on the children of the deceased to remain united and build upon the legacies of their late father which according to him remain indelible.
Also speaking, son of the deceased, Mr. Amos Ogunsola, who is a staff of the Kwara State Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA), said his father gave them good upbringing and instilled in them lasting virtues.
Among the dignitaries present at the burial service are; the CEO of KWARTMA, Alhaji Yekeen Babatunde Bello, Pastor David Omomeji, Mrs. Rebecca Folorunsho, Hon. Kayode Adeniyi and Prince Reuben Olatunde.
Late Ogunsola is survived by his wife, Mrs Abosede Aiyelagbe Ogunsola, children and grandchildren.
