Residents, motorists commend Kwara Gov for completing Yebumot/Adeta Roundabout road

Motorists and other road users plying Yebumot Roundabout to Adeta roundabout and residents residing in  the area in Ilorin , the Kwara State capital have commended the State Government for bringing relief to them with the completion of the 2.1 kilometer project.

The dualized project is with drainage on both sides of the road and the centre median has also been completed with interlocks and asphalt.

Traders in the area also said their businesses have started booming due to the dual carriage way project that the state government has completed.

Some residents of the area and motorists plying the route said they initially relocated due to the bad nature of the road before now, but that with the completion, they have returned back.

A cross section of motorists interviewed praised the State governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for bringing succour to road users and motorists plying the area particularly commercial vehicle operators and Okada riders.

They also commended the contractor JMK Construction Company Limited that handled the two point one Kilometer dual carriage road project for embarking on a good and standard job.

The cross section of the residents similarly expressed appreciation to the supervising Ministry, the Ministry of Works under the headship of the State Commissioner for Works, Engineer Suleiman Rotimi Iliyasu and the consultant for proper monitoring of the project by ensuring that the work is done to specifications.

Engineer IIiyasu reiterated that the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration is committed to uneartening the social economic potentials of the rural and urban communities across the state.

Motorists and Okada riders are however, cautioned against excessive speeding to avoid avoidable accidents on the road more so that students ply the road on daily basis.

Meanwhile, work has also commenced on the second section of the project which is from Adeta roundabout to Mount Camel area along Oloje Road in Ilorin, the state capital.

At the project site, earthwork is already ongoing, drainage completed on one side while another drainage work has commenced on the other side of the alignment.

The contractor handling the project, JMK Construction Company Limited assured that the job will be completed within the scheduled time and done to specifications.
