Eid-il-Kabeer celebration: Saraki Urges Kwara Muslims To Show Love, Support Less Privileged

Former Senate President and Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has urged muslim faithful in kwara, especially those who are well-to-do, to show love and extend hands of support to the less privileged around them, in the spirit of the Eid celebration.
In the message which he posted on his Facebook account, Saraki wished muslims in the state a peaceful and happy celebration.
The former two-term governor of kwara, in the spirit of the celebration, has also commenced distribution of rams and cash gifts to selected Islamic clerics and different youth groups in the state.
This was disclosed in the press statement released by his press officer on home matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, on Tuesday. Many of the beneficiaries have started receiving their rams, and cash gifts, according to Abdulqadir.
Saraki’s gesture ,which is an annual tradition, was handled by a committee led by Alhaji Musa Abdullahi and Comrade Lawal Olamilekan to enable the beneficiaries to fulfil their Sallah obligation of animal sacrifice and to also celebrate the festival with joy.
Said Abdulqadir, “In his usual style of putting smile on the faces of the people in the society during festive periods, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, today, began the distribution of rams and cash gifts to selected Islamic Scholars in the Emirate and different youth groups in Kwara State.
“It is hoped that this gesture will enable the beneficiaries to fulfil their religious obligation of animal sacrifice and also celebrate the festival with joy”.
