Prince Deji Oni’s Demise Shocking, Painful – Saraki 

President of the 8th Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has commiserated with the wife and children of Prince Ayodeji Oni, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State over his painful exit.

Saraki also condoled with the Allofa in Council, the larger Oni family in Ilofa, and the entire PDP family in Oke-Ero LGA and Kwara over the demise of the grassroots politician.

In a condolence message signed by his Press Officer on Home Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki described as shocking and devastating, death of Chief Oni, whom he had the pleasure of working with when he was governor of Kwara State.

The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate commended the late Kwara PDP’s chieftain for his loyalty to the party and Kwara State, saying that he served both the party and the state diligently whenever he was called upon.

“Chief Oni was a long-standing, strong, and loyal member of our political structure, and will always be remembered for his sacrifices and contributions to the growth of our structure. He was a responsible husband, loving father, and devoted Christian who served his Lord with uncommon dedication.

“I pray God in His infinite mercies, grant the deceased eternal rest and his immediate family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.

The forum of Kwara ex-lawmakers of the State House of Assembly, who are of Peoples  Democratic Party’s, extraction also mourn the passing of the late party member. The forum expressed shock over his sudden death.

Deji Oni, who was fondly called ‘Oni of K’, died Wednesday’s afternoon in Ilorin, following a protracted illness.

 (Dr.) Abraham Ashaolu and Hon. Bola Mogaji, respectively, described the exit of the deceased as shocking.

It, therefore, commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, Iloffa community, and the People’s Democratic Party family.

It further prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
