The intending pilgrims from Kwara State will pay a total sum of N1,528.559.10 as approved by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the 2019 hajj fare to Saudi Arabia.
This was contained in a statement signed yesterday by the Executive Secretary of the Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Mohammed Tunde Jimoh.
According to the statement, the fare for each intending pilgrim was jointly determined by NAHCON and official of the 36 state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Tunde jimoh explained that the approved 2019 hajj fare for Kwara pilgrims takes care of airfare, accommodation, transportation and other logistics for the intending pilgrims both in Mecca and Medina.
The statement stressed that all intending pilgrims travelling with the board will receive flat rate of 800 US dollars each as Basic Travelling Allowance (BTA).
The board directed intending pilgrims from the state who had made a deposit of N1.3million or N1million to complete their payment immediately.
The statement added that early payment would enable the board meet up with the 15th June closing date fixed by NAHCON for completion of payment of 2019 hajj fare.
The Executive Secretary however urged the intending pilgrims to pay the balance of their hajj fare at the designated accounts of Polaris Bank PLC and Zenith Bank and to subsequently collect their receipt at the Board.
The statement urged prospective Muslims willing to perform 2019 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia with the Board to ensure they register on or before the 15th June 2019 deadline.
