Ilorin Amusement Park: Kwara High Court Grants Toyin Saraki’s Prayer, Orders Substituted Service On Saliu Ajia, Two Other Defendants

The Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin on Monday granted the prayer of wife of former Senate President, Toyin Saraki, to make an order of substituted service upon three Ilorin Edlers named as Defendants in a new case brought before the Court.
Mrs Saraki had filed a court case against the three individuals in Ilorin who had in 2013 to 2019, maliciously and falsely filed a court case in February 2013 alleging that she acquired in Ilorin forr personal use. That case, in which Mrs Saraki always insisted that her person was frivolously and falsely joined to, by the 3 Ilorin Elders, was later withdrawn by the trio of the Ilorin Elders, and struck out in May 2019, without any order of indemnification or costs.
The defendants are named as a Dr. Saliu Ajibola Ajia, a Dr. Saad Omoiya, and an Alhaji Saleh Duro Garba.
At the commencement of the case hearing on Monday at the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin, headed by Honourable Justice H. O. Ajayi, the court granted the prayer of the plaintiff’s counsel and ordered that the defendants be served through substituted means.
The defendants were not present in court as the plaintiff’s counsel informed the judge that the court bailiffs had informed the counsel of the court’s inability to serve the defendants since the case was instituted earlier in 2023.
The judge noted that the process should be published in at least two local newspapers and one national daily.
The court adjourned the matter till December 11th, 2023.
