Nine Gunmen Invade Kwara Community, unleash Terror, Destroy King’s Residence *Cart away foods, soup, cash * kidnapped victims escape

There was a pandemonium in Ora Ayetoro community in Ekiti local government as nine gunmen invaded the community and unleashed terror on the residents.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday at around 3pm when nine gunmen stormed the area with AK-47 ammunition while four out of nine gunmen were masked.
It was gathered that the gunmen started shooting sporadically, sending residents running for their dear lives.
I t was also learned that the suspects went to the king of the community’s resident, Oba C. O Odeyemi destroyed his residence and also burgled the shop of the king’s wife,Olori Odeyemi and carted away all his goods and cash.
One of the community members who spoke on condition of anonymity, told National Pilot on telephone interview that, the incident was horrible as the gunmen attempted to kidnap members of the community, including the king.
“ After the attack on our community, we later knew that, they have been to Ejiri Ile a community very close to ours. They kidnapped three person. In the process of taking them through the forest route, they walked them to Ora Ayetoro forest.
“ In the process, the victims got the opportunity to escape, and they eventually escaped. They gave them hot chase, but the suspects could not locate them.
” In the course of combing the forest they gain entrance in to our town, Ora Ayetoro. They met one of our residents, a TIV man, who was sleeping under a tree in front of his house. The TIV man’s house was close to the bush. They woke him up and ordered him at gunpoint to lead them to the King’s palace. As they were going, they continued shooting sporadically and people ran for their dear lives.
“When they got to the palace they started shooting. They destroyed Kabiesi’s house, they also burgled his Olori’s shop. They carted away all her packs of Indomie, spaghetti, soft drinks, other food items and cash they met in the shop. The suspects were Bororo. They left and ran to the bush. On their way, they saw another building and they invaded the building. They meet no one. They carted away food and soup in their kitchen.
“ The inflicted matchet wounds on the TIV man who led them to the Palace.
“ We reported the matter to Osi divisional police station, we informed the DPO, SP Lookman and the vigilante.”
