By Omowumi Omotosho
The Kwara State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has lifted the ban on political activities that were put in place to honour the late former Kwara South Senator, Dr. Rafiu Ibrahim.
The party announced the resumption of activities through a statement released by its State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara.
Also, as part of its resumption of political activities, the Kwara PDP launched an official WhatsApp platform to enhance public interaction and engagement.
Kwara PDP had suspended all political activities and lowered its flags for 41 days since April 17 as a mark of respect for the deceased senator. This mourning period has now concluded with a post-mortal prayer in his honour.
The resumption of political activities and the launch of the WhatsApp platform mark a new phase for PDP in Kwara as the party looks forward to renewed engagement with its members and the public.
