Ex Kwara Gov,Abdulfatah, Peter Obi, Gbajabiamila, Dapo Abiodun, Lai Mohammed Condole Saraki Family Over Death of Matriarch, Morenike

Since the death of Mrs Morenike Saraki, who passed away at the age of 89 on Tuesday, the Saraki family has been receiving condolences from dignitaries and organizations all over the world.
The former Kwara state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, in his condolence message, commiserated with the Saraki family.
Fatah described Mrs. Saraki as a loving mother who went to great lengths to ensure the success of all her children. He highlighted her dedication and care, which have left an indelible mark on her family and community.
However, on Wednesday, the 2023 presidential candidate for Labour Party, Peter Obi, paid a condolence visit to the President of 8th Nigerian Senate and former Governor of Kwara State; Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki at the Ikoyi, Lagos residence of the departed Matriarch.
President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff and former Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, and Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun also paid condolence visit to the Sarakis in Lagos on Thursday.
Peter Obi, in a post on his official X handle on Wednesday, stated: “Today in Lagos, I paid a condolence visit to my dear brother, former Senate President and former Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, over the death of his beloved mother, Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki.”
He added, “On behalf of my family, I extend heartfelt condolences to him and the entire Saraki family on this sorrowful and irreplaceable loss. May God Almighty grant her eternal rest and give the Saraki family the strength to bear this loss.”
Also, the Ilorin Central Juma’at Mosque (ICJM) issued a condolence message, describing the death of Mrs. Saraki as a shock to the people of Ilorin and Nigeria as a whole. The statement, released on Thursday by the association’s spokesman, Alhaji Mas’ud Adebimpe, commiserated with the Saraki family over the death of Mrs Saraki.
The ICJM highlighted Mrs. Saraki’s love for the Ilorin community and her exemplary motherliness. The statement noted:
“As a mother, she was a model who demonstrated good motherliness in the care of her children, including Distinguished Senator Abubaka Bukola Saraki, a former Senate President, and Distinguished Senator Rukayat Gbemisola Saraki, the immediate past Minister of State for Transport, both of whom remain assets to the Ilorin community, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.
“Without doubt, it is indeed a painful loss, but we urge the family to take solace in the life of service to humanity, lived by the matriarch of the Saraki dynasty.”
The death of Mrs. Saraki marks a significant loss for the Saraki family and all those who knew her. Her legacy of love, commitment, and perseverance continues to be remembered and celebrated by those she left behind.
