LG Polls: Kwara APC Announces Sales of Forms * Chairmanship, N1m, Councillorship, N250k

The Kwara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the commencement of form sales for the forthcoming Local Government Council Election in the State slated for September 21, 2024.
In a notice signed by the party’s Chairman for finance sub Committee of local government electoral Committee, Hon Abdulganiyu Kure, the party informed all intending aspirants and stakeholders of the procedures for obtaining the form.
According to the notice, the chairmanship form goes for the sum of one million naira while the councilorship form is being sold for two hundred and fifty thousand naira.
The party also revealed that the sales of forms will close on June 25, 2024.
Recall that the last time local government elections were held in Kwara State was in 2017 during the administration of former governor AbdulFatah Ahmed. However, after 7 years, with the approval of the state government, the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission announced that the local government elections in the state would hold on September 21, 2024.
The preparation for the forthcoming local government election in Kwara State stands on the cusp of a pivotal moment in its political landscape as various political parties stake their claim in the 16 local government areas of the state.
