NSCDC Arrest Three For Fraud, Burglary, Theft In Kwara

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended three individuals involved in distinct criminal activities.
One of the suspects, Ibrahim Wasiu was arrested following a burglary report by one Mumini Kabir.
Consequently, Wasiu,a 31-year old resident of Eiyenkorin was picked up and detained by the NSCDC tracking unit.
According to a statement released by Kwara NSCDC’s public relations officer, Ayoola Michael Shola on Tuesday, Kabir reported several burglaries at his residence, during which a motorcycle, two Android phones, a home theater system, and other household goods were stolen.
 The NSCDC spokesman confirmed that all the stolen items were recovered during Wasiu’s arrest.
In a separate incident, the tracking unit, acting on a tip-off, arrested 33-year-old Soliu Jimoh on Thursday, last week.
Jimoh was caught stealing electrical cables and fittings from buildings under construction in the Gaa Ajanaki area of Ilorin. Upon his apprehension, the NSCDC recovered various wires and tools he used in his operations.
Additionally, the statement revealed that Ganiyu Yusuf Olalekan, 38, was arrested on Friday for defrauding Mr. Ibrahim Mustapha of N4.5 million.
 Olalekan misrepresented himself as a senior staff member of the Ministry of Finance and claimed to be a politician, promising Mustapha three Hajj slots in return for the payment. Investigations later revealed that Olalekan was a scammer who exploited unsuspecting individuals for financial gain.
The NSCDC spokesman made it clear that all three suspects have confessed to their crimes and will face prosecution in a court of competent jurisdiction upon the conclusion of investigations.
