Kwara State University Expels 175 Students Over Exam Malpractice, Theft, Fake Results, Assault

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has expelled 175 students for a range of offences.
This decision was made public in a statement by the Acting Director of University Relations, Saeedat Aliyu.
Mrs. Aliyu stated that the expulsions were based on the recommendations of the universityโs Studentsโ Disciplinary Committee (SDC) during its sessions held between October 2021 and March 2024.
The students faced expulsion for numerous offences, including examination malpractice, theft, use of fake results for admission, assault, fraud, involvement in unregistered associations, and possession of firearms.
The statement emphasized KWASU’s strict policy against indiscipline, affirming that the university’s mission is to cultivate graduates who excel both in character and academics.
