The Sustainable Empowerment to Access Network (SEAN) has bestowed its coveted “Public Interest Lawyer of the Year 2024” award upon Barrister Issa Manzuma, celebrating his unwavering integrity, exceptional credibility, and tireless dedication to championing societal causes through the legal profession.
A former Chairman of the Ilorin branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Manzuma has long been recognized for his leadership driven by a deep sense of public service. He has twice vied for the governorship of Kwara State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), contesting in the 2019 and 2023 elections.
Although his aspiration to lead Kwara State remains unfulfilled, Barrister Manzuma’s enduring commitment to public welfare, underpinned by his faith and humanitarian principles, continues to inspire many.
This prestigious award underscores his relentless advocacy for ordinary citizens and his steadfast pursuit of justice, equity, and compassion in all facets of his work.
