One Dies in an Alleged Cult Clash in Ilorin

A tragic incident on Saturday unfolded in Obbo Road area, along Challenge, Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara State, as a man, identified as Razaq Sulyman, popularly known as Mexico lost his life in an alleged cult clash.
It was gathered that the victim, once a high-ranking member of a cult group, had reportedly turned a new leaf and distanced himself from all cult-related activities.
Meanwhile, eyewitness accounts revealed that Mexico, dressed in traditional white attire, was heading home when he was ambushed by suspected members of the Eiye cult group. The attackers struck swiftly, leaving him dead on the spot.
When National Pilot contacted the Kwara State police command spokesperson, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun around 4:46pm on Sunday, she declared that no report has been made from the command in charge of Obbo road where the incident happened.
“No information yet. I will reach out to the DPO in charge. Thank you,” she said.
At the time of filling this report, there is no update yet from the Kwara State Police Command spokesperson and all efforts to reach her proved abortive.
Around 9:28pm on Sunday, a text message which reads: ” Hello Ma, sequel to the call I made earlier today, about the alleged cult-related killing at Obbo Road in which Mr Abdulrasaq Sulyman. Has there been any update ?” was sent to her direct message after call put to her line around 6:33pm and 9:19pm were not answered.
