Saraki Mourns Mahe, Commiserates with Emir of Ilorin, Abdulkadir Family

The president of the 8th Nigeria Senate Dr. Bukola Saraki, has expressed his condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate, and the Abdulkadir family following the passing of Prince Abdulkadir Mahe.

Mahe, a respected figure in Kwara State, who served as the chief of staff to the Governor of Kwara state, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, passed away last Saturday. He was laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

In a statement issued on Sunday by Saraki’s Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, he described the late Prince Mahe as “a resourceful, consummate, and dutiful man” whose contributions to the state would be deeply missed.

“It pains to hear about the passing of a Prince of the Ilorin Emirate who has served our dear state in various capabilities.

“Prince Mahe was a resourceful and diligent individual who served our dear state dutifully as a civil servant while I was Governor and in various capacities.

“His demise has indeed left behind a void hard to fill, but we take solace in the immeasurable contribution he made to our society,” the statement read.

Saraki further extended his prayers and condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, the Ilorin Emirate, and the Abdulkadir family.

“I commiserate with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate, and the Abdulkadir family over the loss of a Prince. May Allah rest his soul, grant him Aljanah Firdaus, and grant us all the fortitude to bear this loss,” he prayed.
