Suspected kidnappers struck along the Gambari area of Ogbomoso on Friday night, abducting a female passenger after robbing off the passengers of their belongings.

According to a victim who spoke with National Pilot under anonymity, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. The commercial bus, which had departed from Geri Alimi in Ilorin en route to Ogbomoso, made a brief stop to pick up two passengers along the Gambari stretch. However, the supposed passengers turned out to be kidnappers.

“They joined our bus mid-journey, when we got to Gambari area, they pulled out guns and forced the driver to stop. They ordered everyone to hand over their phones, money, and other valuables. After collecting our belongings, they dragged one of the female passengers out of the vehicle and took her with them into the bush,” the victim recounted.
