Saraki Mourns as Olofa’s Mother Dies at 94

The President of the 8th Nigeria Senate Dr. Bukola Saraki, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, the royal family, and the entire people of Offa following the passing of the King’s mother, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi, popularly known as Iya Ijebu. She died at the age of 94.

In a condolence message issued on Sunday by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki described the late Alhaja Hawawu as a source of motherly love, wisdom, and enduring leadership not only to the royal household but to the broader Offa community.

“Mama was such a loving and accommodating mother who extended love and compassion beyond the ordinary. Her counsels and admonitions were priceless,” he said.

While acknowledging the grief that accompanies such a loss, Saraki urged the people to take solace in the longevity and impactful life the matriarch lived.

“The world will take solace in the fact that she lived till the ripe age of 94 and made a huge impact in the lives of many,” he said.
