Ibraheem Abdullateef is a reckless sycophant

Reading the publication of Ibraheem Abdullateef, SSA to Governor Abdulrahman on Communications, my heart sank once again. Sycophancy, tactical or not isn’t a skill that helps one to sustain prosperity. Abdullateef needs to offer more beyond that, not for today, but tomorrow. Those he sees as Comrades today will unapologetically remind him of his role within present government in years to come. “Wasn’t he just a writer who hails and abuses the Governor’s perceived enemies?” That will be the legacy, and I, Bashir feel it’s crucial to exist beyond just that.

To the issues, how many council chairmen or wards did his principal, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq have in 2019 before becoming the Governor? None! What of councillors? Senators? State Assembly members? Fooling isn’t a skill, and it is regrettable when someone with a defined role within the government isn’t aware of the history of his principal.

Abdullateef’s story is like that of a bittered ex, he soapies over HE, Abubakar Bukola Saraki before destiny led him to Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. Now he gives blowjob to Governor Abdulrahman, he should kindly slow down and remember to leave some for the Governor’s wife.

Saraki is rightly a General who has won more political battles amidst complex machinations than Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. He also remains more successful than Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in every metrics possible, be it administratively or politically. There is no path Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is currently walking now that Saraki didn’t walk first.

One wonders how Abdullateef, a mere SSA on propaganda and media disturbance understands the internal workings of the PDP more than Dr. Saraki. One would think for a second Saraki wrote about APC, and not the PDP, the party he rightly belongs to. For a moment, these were the guys claiming Saraki is working for President Tinubu behind closed doors weeks ago.

PDP in Kwara is more peaceful and stable than the Kwara APC, it is so because those who want to leave left, and gave a clear picture of those remaining. This same Ibraheem abuses Senator Saliu Mustapha without any caution. No respect for his office, age, and even traditional title. By all order, Senator Saliu isn’t in the peer group of Ibraheem Abdullateef. From South to Central, crisis looms in APC, but Abdullateef is more concerned about the PDP, and how Saraki chooses to conduct himself in his party of choice.

Did your principal not move across parties? This selective and unimpressive sycophancy is irritating. Like as if Abdulrahman didn’t jump from PDP to APC in 2018. There are SAs and SSAs in this government that their names echo on making solid efforts beyond their assigned role, Abdullateef’s name has never featured, except for holding the trousers of Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye for survival and prosperity.

To those who may weep over what Abdullateef has become, it may be more consoling to admit at this point that the role of a dog remains clear, and one should not assume otherwise. Abdullateef’s job is to bark, and he does that with or without opportunity.

True PDP family know the value of Saraki’s message, those who matter beyond Abdullateef know the value of Dr. Saraki’s experience and capacity. They received the message, and it was reassuring. So, I seize this opportunity to implore the PDP family to remain united. PDP crisis is nothing compared to what’s in APC at national level. The CPC bloc of APC is in disarray, that is the bloc we can trace the ancestry of Abdullateef’s principal to. Reason why he remains limited in his role as NGF Chair, in addition to his lack of capacity.

In Kwara, we must remain focus and clear. When was the last time PDP attacked those within its rank or those who left? It is Kwara APC that exchanges blow over where ticket should go, who should construct a road, pavillion or nature and scale of empowerment that must be done in order not to unsettle Governor Abdulrahman.

There is stability in Kwara PDP than the APC, Abdullateef is merely barking, as always…
