The defamation suit filed by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State against a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and former federal lawmaker, Honourable Moshood Mustapha, is scheduled for hearing on Monday 30th June, 2025, at the Kwara State High Court in Ilorin.

According to court documents obtained by National Pilot, Mustapha and his cousin, Bolakale Mustapha, are facing charges related to criminal defamation, conspiracy, and incitement. The charges stem from alleged statements and actions linked to the controversial demolition of Moshood Mustapha’s property in Ilorin last year.

The legal proceedings were initiated following a formal petition filed by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Mr. Fafoluyi Olayinka Solace, acting on behalf of the Kwara State Government.
