Preach peace, clerics admonished

Worried by recent unwholesome happenings in the country, Reverend James Adedoyin of ECWA, Ita-Elepa, Ilorin, Kwara State has urged religious leaders to preach peace and love.
Speaking on the theme “Thou shall not kill”, he stressed that one of the most important laws given to the people was not to kill, adding that God created people to be at peace with one another.
Reverend Adedoyin called on the people not to hate fellow human being as hatred lead to murder while jealous lead someone to anger which also lead to murder.
The Cleric blamed people he described as self centered religious leaders who failed to preach the truth but misleading their followers, for the eanton killings in the country.
He charged preachers to rise up to their responsibility and be patriotic by preaching against killing.
In his sermon, Pastor Ola-Olu Adeyemo has called on Christians to let the glory of God shine in their lives by engaging in positive behaviour and characters.
He made the call yesterday at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters.
The Cleric who spoke on the topic “Arise and shine” implored Christians to manifest the glory of God in whatever they do to woo souls for the Kingdom.
He urged them to worship God wholeheartedly to be able to shine and enjoy the fruit of true believers.
Similarly, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church off Yidi Road, Ilorin in his message titled “Take Time To Really Praise Him,” explained that giving thanks to God shows that believers are not taking His goodness for granted.
Pastor Aransiola challenged the people to look into their life, and see the innumerable blessings of God and give Him quality thanks.
Reverend Kelechi Odii of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, City of Grace Congregation Obbo Road Ilorin speaking on the topic “Prompt obedience to God is ideal and saves” called on Nigerians to develop prompt and total obedience to God’s word to safe the Nation from its various challenges.
Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C & S Movement Church, lpetu-lgbomina emphasised praising God without ceasing as the only way to remain bless from above.
Also speaking at the yearly anniversary of Goodnews of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Pastor ldowu Constain urged Christians to protrary Christ in what they do as they are The image of their heavenly father.
Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo appealed to Chrtians to abide by the will of God to enable Him perfect His mission on them.
Prophet Femi Emmanuel of the Agbara Olorun lgbani wasibe worldwide international, Gbagede urged Christians to put their faith on God alone.
