EPL Preview: Can Man Utd halt Liverpool’s unbeaten run?

Liverpool hosts Manchester United at Anfield in the pick of Premier League fixtures at the weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s team have Chelsea to thank for shooting them to the top of the log after the Blues defeated league leaders, Manchester City 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
United are at the moment placed sixth – outside Champions League spot – and will be desperate to snatch at least a point from their host as 16 points separate the two teams at the moment.
At the moment, Liverpool is the only unbeaten team in the league and if there is one team that can terminate that record, then it has to be Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho seems to have condemned Paul Pogba to the substitutes’ bench permanently and the trend may continue in this tie with Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic forming an impeccable trio.
However, Livepool’s trio of Mohammed Sallah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino Liverpool will prove a handful for the inconsistent defence of the Red Devils. Eric Bailey, Chris Smalling and Darmian will need to be at their best otherwise goalkeeper David de Gea will definitely pick the ball out of his own net on at least two occasions.
It is expected that Mourinho will show Liverpool some respect by adding Marouane Fellaini to his back four.
Elsewhere, Manchester City will hope to return to winning ways when they play host to Everton while Arsenal are expected to at least claim a point against Southampton.
For Chelsea, they will need to prove that their victory against City was no fluke by securing another win this time against the inconsistent Brighton on the road.
