Horror! Woman’s head severed in accident on 3rd midland bridge

Commuters were yesterday horror-stricken at the sight of the head of a woman severed in a ghastly accident that occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.

The neatly braided head of the woman was decapitated from her body following an auto crash that left several other passengers injured.

The number of casualties in the accident that involved a commercial bus popularly called Danfo by Lagosians, could however not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

The commercial bus conveying the passengers reportedly veered off the road before somersaulting and in the process injuring the occupants including a toddler.

Panic-stricken passengers had their faces creased in horror at the scene of the accident with some of them chanting, “Allahu,” “Oluwa o, “and others groaning in severe pains.

The scene of the accident was littered by belongings of the passengers and   splinters of broken windshield of the vehicle. Blood stains and patches could be also be seen on the road and the bridge pavement.

The incident caused traffic gridlock while the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad evacuated victims of the accident from the scene.

A victim whose identity could not be ascertained said the accident happened when one of the  tyres of the bus burst on motion.
