2 commercial motorcyclists, one other nabbed for robbery in Ilorin

Men of Kwara State Police Command have arrested two commercial motorcyclists and one other suspect for alleged robbery attack in Ilorin, Pilot Crime has learnt.

The suspects,  Desmond Aupiri, Taofeeq Jimoh and Dele Alabi, were nabbed for robbing one Omoiya Hannah in her shop at Sango in Ilorin, recently.

The suspects were said to have robbed their victim of her Toyota Camry 2007 model with registration number KJA 393FJ valued at N3m, one Iphone 5, Nokia handset and a cash to the tune of N30,000.

According to police source, the case was reported at the State Intelligence Bureau, which made the operatives to swing into action.

“One of the phones was tracked and this  led to the arrest of Desmond Aupiri.  In the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed to have gotten the phone from one Nasiru.

“His confession led to the arrest of Taofeek and Alabi. The suspects also revealed identities of other members of their gangs, who received the  stolen items but are currently at large.

“The suspects  said  they conspired with other hoodlums to rob the victim. They confessed to have sold the car to one Azeez.

“Efforts are being made to arrest their accomplices who are at large and recover the stolen car and other items,” the source added.
